Jeff Summerson

I’ve lived in Waldridge Parish for 25 years, albeit I only became a member of the parish council in January 2026.

I retired from work as a project manager in June 2024, utilising my freetime to work with voluntary groups across Chester-le-Street to conduct weekly litter picking and helping maintain Waldridge Fell. Meeting new friends within these groups has enabled me to listen and capture varied feedback on how we might maintain and improve our parish environment. Looking to put my work and voluntary experience to good use as a parish council member.

I don’t have any strong political affiliations. Just a strong commitment to do what’s right for our parish and make a positive input to deliver for our community.
